Pricing, credits & usage

No subscription, no seats, no per-repo fees. You pay for the tokens your indexing and questions actually use — and credits never expire.

The formula

peek passes model cost through at cost, plus a flat $0.50 per million tokens. That's the whole pricing model: what the model costs us + $0.50/M tokens = what you pay. When a provider serves part of a prompt from its cache, that discount is cheaper for us — so we bill you the cached rate too and pass the savings straight through. New accounts start with $5 of free credit and no card on file.

What spends tokens

  • Indexing a repo — a one-time cost the first time it's mapped.
  • Reindexing — only the files that changed since the last pass, so it's a fraction of the first index.
  • Each question — proportional to how deep the research team has to dig. Most questions are a few hundred to a few thousand tokens.
Teams
Shared indexes are shared cost. If teammates add the same repo, everyone queries one index. When a push triggers a reindex, only the first person in the queue pays for that diff — everyone else gets the refreshed answers free.

Topping up

Add credit in any amount, any time, from Settings → Payments. Turn on auto-reload to top up automatically when your balance runs low, so indexing and queries never pause unexpectedly.

Tracking usage

Settings → Usage breaks down what you've spent. Usage is attributed per call, so you can see where the tokens went.

Running out

If your balance hits zero, indexing and queries pause until you top up — there are no surprise overage bills, ever. Add credit (or rely on auto-reload) and everything picks back up. See also Working with repositories for how reindexing fits in.
